Common Light Fixtures

Pendant Lights:

The pendant lights are suspended from the ceiling by a single line. Each pendant light only comes with one light and often hang in groups. They are modern light styles, are highly decorative, and very versatile. Pendant lights can be used for ambient, accent, or task lighting depending on their size! Pendant lights are often found in rooms where decoration is more important such as the dining room, foyer, or common areas. They are also seen often in stores and trendy restaurants.

Track Lights:

The track lighting system is made up of multiple light fixtures that are attached to a long, supporting structure or track. Track lighting does not have to be straight, and modern track lighting is often very curvy to fit a room or to make a statement. Often times, track lights are used as accent lighting.

Recessed Lights:

Recessed lighting installation require holes cut out in your ceiling. Your ceiling may need to be dramatically altered to accommodate recessed lighting. Recessed lights can be installed to have dimming capabilities. With this functionality, recessed lights can be both ambient, task, or accent lights.

Flush or Semi-Flush Lights:

Flush mount lighting is not recessed lighting. However, it is the most common illumination style found in hallways, bedrooms and bathrooms. You will mostly see them where decoration is not important. They are fixtures that are set against the ceiling or very close to the ceiling rather than hanging from it. They are typically basic and affordable, sold in all home improvement stores.

Chandelier:

The chandelier is a beautiful and timeless light fixture displayed in the most prominent areas of a home, hotel, restaurant or even some businesses. Unlike individually hung pendant lights, chandeliers hang from a single suspension line with several fixtures attached. To achieve the perfect height for a chandelier installation, precise measurements and wiring are required.
